I always enjoy watching the poker professionals on television as it makes me feel that it helps to improve my gaming style. Hansen is a pro player who makes more money playing poker than all but the tiniest percentage of players. He plays so recklessly and yet so brilliantly. There is so much to learn from his success. The tournaments that Gus Hansen won on WPT were good examples of how to play aggressively against pros and mix up your game. All casino games require different strategies. So it is very much important to be careful while applying the knowledge we have learned from such pros while watching them play.

Gus Hansen made most of his money at the poker boom in live tournaments. In the last years he is the greatest loser in online poker. His total losses for 2013 + 2014 are between 15 to 20 million dollars, he admitted this. I just wonder what is his real actual net worth?

I am not sure about the response to the above question, some say he is broke but I know that his agenda contains very rich people who are "just having fun" losing 1 to 3 millions of euros playing backgammon all night in Monaco and as Gus before going into poker was a professional backgammon player so you can imagine about what we are talking. Certainly Gus is not likely to be broke like many claims.

That is quite an information to share about Gus Hansen. His life has surely been a roller coaster ride. Although his name came on top of 2014's biggest losers list still he geared up with a profit of $482,264 after three days of play.I still remember that day when the 1,465 poker hands he played in 18 sessions brought him winnings for $546,688.
Which poker pros do you follow?

I'm not really following how poker pros are doing. But since you brought up this discussion about Gus Hansen, I knew some things about his background and shared that with you. I bet Gus is a wise guy indeed and his poker bankroll should be over $100 million (net worth much more as he is having a very big annual income from contracts and other things outside of the poker/gambling area). Due to last two years of huge loses that's probably why he said he wants a break for a while only hanging on with the live tournaments then come back to play sensibly smaller stakes online and to study the game more. Even for the masters of the game, poker is still not mathematically solved.

Gus Hansen is one of the best poker player in the world. I don't know how he play the game but still I am amused with the fact that he won 3 poker tournament. Every gambler must have wish to be just like him. Millionaire because of playing casino. Good luck to all of us.
