Okay, this may be a weirdo question, but my buddy and I were arguing about it last night. Is it good to listen to music while playing poker? I find it really distracting, but my friend says it keeps him “in the zone.” (Whatever that means.) I’ve only played live a few times, but I think listening to my Ipod while playing in a tournament would be even more nerve racking. Does anyone have an opinion about this?

GamblingKing, I apologize for the lateness of my reply! Just today I played online at a casino with my iPod securely attached to my head! I agree with your friend, it DOES help my mind stay in the 'zone'. Now that GC has its own 5 card poker hands, I play with my headphones on! (started just an hour ago!) and won more than I lost! (today that is!) I have a lot of fun playing poker with my headphones on!
