Hi,
I keep getting free chip play via email from 21 dukes casino. I went to redeem and now they are no longer accepting us players unless having made a deposit in the past.
Fair enough.
However, can a casino suddenly drop US players without notice like that?

Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I agree that no casino should send emails with promos to players which are not eligible for the said mail ! That's a black ball for the casino/group which did this !

Also, every casino should inform it players via both emails and pop-up (upon the player logs into the account) about any change of terms and expressly state exactly what has changed since the player agreed with the T&C's last time. However, this is not something which the casinos do. Instead they drop the burden on the player.

So expressly to your question, if a casino can no longer accept a market and not inform its affected players is: yes, they can do that (and most of them do so, unless the affected players do have a positive balance and in that case the casino will send an email / SMS to advise the players to withdraw the remainder or play and zero out their balance until a set date or their balance will be forfeited).

Keep it Safe,
Constantin

I have run across this similar type of issue with some casinos that are listed as accepting U.S. players but once I register - am told they are either no longer accepting new U.S. players or have dropped U.S. players altogether. At times, the casino's T&C have not been updated and it wasn't until I contacted customer service that I was able to get a direct answer.

Unfortunately for the players - as Constantin mentions - the onus seems to be on us to dig through and find contradictions between the promotions that are sent via email and the reality when we try to redeem these offers.

There should be a set of standards of communications for online casinos to clearly outline and update players. Right now - it's rather haphazard depending on the casino.
