Father of Macau Gambling, Stanley Ho, Passes at Age 98Stanley Ho, a businessman and founder of the Macau Gambling Empire, became a legend in gambling circles. After suffering from ill health for many years, he passed away on the 26th of May 2020, at the age of 98. "Stanley Ho was known as the Chinese Godfather or as the King of Gambling in every related circle. He built out and ruled the gambling monopoly in Macau for 75 years during his long life. But he was also involved in many other businesses trough Shun Tak Holdings. Even more, we can declare that as we know Macau nowadays (As Asia’s gambling capital) is because of Stanley’s hard work and unbelievable connections."He lived a fruitful life with 17 children from 4 different women and was also known for his outstanding ballroom dancing skills. He studied in Hong Kong and achieved a scholarship to the University of Hong Kong. However, he never finished university due to the start of the Second World War in Japan, taking over Macau. He was one of the most recognized figures in the world of gambling and will never be forgotten.
