About what "professional player" expression refers to ? (my guess would be that should refer to advantage play only)

What actions, environments and habits should describe a PURE RECREATIONAL player?
(and here I`m not referring only to casino games players, but at gambling as a whole, see poker or sportbets)

Can a player who play around 3 hours on a daily basis be considered a recreational player ? But about one who will only play on weekends, but then he will play about 12-14 hours ? Does it matter if he is a low / medium / high roller or if he wins or lose in the long term in this "recreational play" equation? Also does it matter if he do multitask (or multi-tabling in case of poker) while playing the games?

I want to hear everyone's personal opinions, and if here are some casino representatives would be excellent to hear their saying too.

Constantin, I think that a "professional player" is someone who can comfortably live on his winnings and not need a day job.
Generally, I don't think you can be a professional if you are playing slots. I went rounds with a casino once about paying me $75 in winnings. After several months of the worst kind of BS, they did finally pay me. But, they bonus banned me because I was what they termed as a "skilled slots player"... So, I may be a Pro...

I agree with Kattboots, if your winnings can sustain your lifestyle then you really are a professional player since you have no problems with increasing your bet. Luck favors the brave. Professional players also compete to win and these players are popular for their game play. If you want to become a professional player, train and strategize wisely.
