Maryland gets Sports Betting Bill x2 Senator Chris West introduced Senate Bill 58, which basically means legalizing the activity. However, the licenses are for Horse Racing and Video Lottery Groups that already hold licenses. Meanwhile, Senator Craig Zucker introduced Senate Bill 4, which allows groups to apply for a license and enter the market. For example, William Hill would be one of potential groups in this scenario. There are currently 6 casinos that hold video lottery licenses in Maryland, plus 5 racetracks within the state. There are no additional details (IE: Tax, Fees or Wager details) as yet.
